This Privacy Policy explains how the Exploriva mobile app and related services (together, the "Service") collect, use, and share information.
1) Who we are

2) What we collect
A) Account and identity information
- Account info: email address, display name or username if you create an account.
- User ID / account identifier: used to support sign-in, saved trips, subscriptions, sync, account management, and customer support.
- Support messages when you contact us.
B) Content and saved data
- Saved trips and saved places you create or bookmark inside the app.
- Preferences and settings you configure (e.g., language, travel mode, planning options).
- User content you upload or submit (e.g., photos, videos, captions, feedback).
C) Location
- Precise location is used only when you grant permission, specifically to support nearby discovery, map features, and trip planning. You can revoke this permission at any time in device settings.
- Approximate location may be inferred from network data when precise location is not granted.
D) Media
- Photos and videos are processed only if you choose to upload or capture them using app features. We do not access your photo library without your explicit action.
E) Device and diagnostic data
- App version, device model, OS version, language, time zone, and identifiers needed for security and authentication.
- Usage data: screens viewed, features used, crash logs, and performance metrics to support stability and improvements.
F) Information from third parties
- Apple / Google sign-in (if used) provides authentication tokens and basic account info.
- Apple In‑App Purchase provides purchase and subscription status. We do not receive full payment card details.
- Maps and place providers may provide place details, categories, coordinates, and photos for points of interest.
3) How we use information
- Provide and maintain the Service: sign-in, city guides, AI-assisted planning, saved trips, saved places, and sync.
- Support nearby discovery, maps, and planning features using location when you enable them.
- Process media uploads and exports when you use those features.
- Validate purchases and subscriptions and unlock paid features.
- Keep the Service safe: fraud prevention, abuse detection, and security.
- Debug, improve, and measure performance using crash logs and diagnostics.
- Communicate with you: support replies and service messages.
4) Third-party content and services
Exploriva may display publicly available third-party content inside the app, including official event listings, venue pages, webcams, and licensed or public image sources. We also use third-party service providers to operate core features, including authentication, database hosting, media delivery, subscriptions, routing, places search, and AI-assisted trip planning.
These providers may include:
- Firebase Authentication — sign-in and account management
- Render / Postgres — database hosting and server infrastructure
- Cloudflare — media delivery, image hosting, and video streaming
- RevenueCat — subscription management
- Geoapify — places search and geocoding
- OpenRouteService / GraphHopper — routing and directions
- OpenAI — AI-assisted trip planning and recommendations
Each provider processes only the minimum data needed to provide its service for Exploriva.
5) Media and device permissions
The app may request the following permissions only when needed for features you actively use:
- Location: used for nearby discovery, map features, and trip planning (optional).
- Photo library: used to select or upload media and to save itinerary exports (optional).
- Camera: used only when you choose to capture content (optional).
- Microphone: used only when you choose to record content (optional).
All permissions can be revoked at any time in your device settings.
6) Third-party content notice
Event details, venue pages, webcams, maps, links, and some images may come from third-party or official public sources. Availability and accuracy may change, and this content may be updated, removed, or changed by the original provider without notice.
7) Legal bases (EEA/UK)
- Contract: to provide the Service you request.
- Legitimate interests: to secure, improve, and measure the Service (balanced with your rights).
- Consent: for optional permissions (e.g., precise location, camera/microphone), which you can withdraw in device settings.
- Legal obligation: where required.
8) Sharing
We may share information with:
- Service providers listed above, to operate core app functionality.
- Payment partners (Apple) to validate subscription status.
- Legal / safety: if required by law or to protect users and the Service.
- Business transfer (merger/acquisition) with notice where required.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
9) Data retention
- We keep account data while your account is active.
- When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal data within 30 days, unless we must keep certain records for legal reasons.
- Security and diagnostic logs are retained only as long as needed for their purpose.
10) Your choices and rights
Delete account: in the app go to Profile → Delete account. A recent login may be required.
Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. Email support@avirel.es to request.
11) International transfers
Your data may be processed outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
12) Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum digital age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
13) Security
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect your information. No system is 100% secure.
14) Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will update the "Last updated" date and provide notice of material changes where required.
